What happens when we die?

Christian denominations explained

What happens when we die?

Although these denominations fall under the umbrella of Christianity and follow the Bible's teachings, there are some areas and practices which differ, yet the Bible tells us "...all with one accord". Fundamentally, Christians believe in the Trinity and that Jesus died and rose from the dead to pay for ALL our sins; Christians must seek Jesus every day and cultivate their own relationship with God. Turning away from all sin is essential, and although it is easy to give up when we fall, this is the time we need Jesus the most, asking for forgiveness and not letting us be separated from God.  Being part of a church community for prayer and worship will help our relationship with Jesus grow as long as we remember we are there for Christ and not for a hobby or other reasons.  Choosing a Christian denomination is your own choice, but we should not be focused on the differences within Christian denominations but focus on developing our love for Jesus. We can have confidence when we turn to Jesus and ask for forgiveness; all our sins are covered by the grace of God, as the video below explains. A common belief in all denominations of Christianity is we will be separated from God when we die and for all eternity unless we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross and rose from the dead.

Act 2: 1-4 (New King Version)

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.  Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
