Matthew chapter 11
How will we know God is amongst us? The blind will see, the lame will walk, all illnesses will be healed, and the good news will be preached.
God will send a messenger to prepare the way.
Whoever listens will hear.
Everyone must repent so they don't end up in Hades. Many miracles will show God's work, so we cannot deny anything on the day of judgement.
Hidden things will be revealed to the little children and whoever Jesus decides to reveal.
Follow God, and he will make your burdens light and give you rest. Learn from God who is gentle and humble in heart.
Matthew chapter 12
God owns everything. Doing things for God (good) and not evil is good regardless of when we do it.
We should be merciful and kind. This is more important than sacrifice.
God will restore all our broken parts. In Jesus' name we put our hope.
King David was a great ruler of Israel; Jesus is in the bloodline of David and will succeed David as the King of Israel. (When he returns.)
Kingdoms divided will not stand, as households divided will not stand. (Warning to unite with God.)
By default if we are not with God, we are against him; but if we do our work in God's name, we have the spirit of God, and nothing can stop us.
Every sin can be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. (BE WARNED!) Speaking against Jesus can be forgiven, but not the Holy Spirit.
A tree is recognised by its fruit. If we are good, people will recognise it, in much the same way as if we are evil.
Remember the mouth speaks from the heart. If we store up bad things, we speak evil; if we store up good, we speak good. Our speech is very important, as we can be judged on what we say.
The story of Jonah is a lesson to repent while we have the opportunity. No matter how evil we have been, while alive (physically) we have an opportunity to turn from our sin and repent and turn to God and produce good fruit. (God's plan.)
Once we repent, evil leaves us. If we do not fill the space with God, the evil spirit will return and bring others with him. This will be much worse than having the one evil spirit. (Warning!)
Those following God are part of God's family.
We are all brothers and sisters under God the Father. (We must support our families in these times of need.)
Matthew chapter 13
Listen to God, and we will understand and see. Let our hearts be softened and healed.
Put the seeds of God into our hearts. The seed is God's word.
Don't focus on this life or money, but listen to God's word and understand it.
The enemy plants weeds in our life to distract us and lead us away from God. A good crop of wheat is the good in our life and will be harvested by the harvesters (angels) at the end of the age.
Good wheat has a good root to support it. (God is our root.)
The weeds will be collected too, to be burnt.
If we plant the smallest seed (mustard), God will make it grow into the largest tree to support life.
Heaven is so valuable, you will sell everything for it.
Like the weeds and the wheat, the fishermen throw away the bad fish and keep the good. The angels will separate the wheat and throw away the weeds. At the end of the age, only the good will be kept.
Those thrown into the furnace will be weeping and gnashing their teeth as they know it didn't have to be this way.
Listen to the teachers of the Kingdom of Heaven, as they will bring you old and new treasures. (Old teachings and new teachings.)
It's hard to be accepted in your own home and by those that know you.
Matthew chapter 14
Don't make promises that may harm you.
We are under spiritual attack, especially when we do not expect it. (Stay sober.)
Nothing is impossible to God. He will take care of us, even when it seems unlikely. (Trust.)
The Lord takes away our fear; we must trust Him and have faith. He will deliver us.
With faith in God, we will be healed.
Matthew chapter 15
Tradition is okay, but what is important is that God must be in our hearts. We must not follow tradition blindly.
Check whether we are following the word and teachings of God or following the teachings of man. If God is in our hearts, we will know. (Do not worship in vain.)
What we eat is important, but what we say defines the person we are. (Evil thoughts will be recognised in our words.)
Jesus came for the Jews of Israel, but He will also heal the Gentiles if they ask and follow Him.
Jesus performs many signs and miracles so witnesses could testify for future generations to believe.
