Matthew chapter 1

Do not be afraid; put your trust in Jesus.

Jesus will save his people from their sins.

God's love for us all is beyond our imagination.

Matthew chapter 2

Jesus is our shepherd, a great ruler.

Jesus's people are from Israel.

Do not follow the path of the past, but find a new route to follow. Our behaviour is key. Go the extra mile for others and be a servant to everyone.

Knowing about Jesus is not enough, as even evil knows about Jesus and his power. We must choose Jesus for ourselves, and He will provide the right path to follow.

Do not be afraid; evil will not be here for much longer.

Matthew chapter 3

Repent, time is short; prepare yourself. Remember to put others before ourselves and serve others.

Produce good fruit by correct behaviour and bring people to God. Love is a key.

Get baptised in the Holy Spirit, so we are guided to God.

Know the Son of God and behave like him. Learn from Jesus, and God will be pleased with us.

It is not how we look, or our posessions or how we are perceived, it's about our behaviour. Unconditional love for everyone.

Matthew chapter 4

Resist temptation and repent of any sin.

Trust God and never put God to the test.

Prophets are real and will guide us. Trust.

Jesus is our healer if we trust Him and let Him guide us. Jesus is calling us.

The end is near, repentance is key.

Matthew chapter 5

Go to Jesus, and he will refine us.

Blessed are those that suffer for God.

Let our good deeds be seen by others so as to inspire them; the praise and glory do not belong to us, but to God the Father alone.

Do not ignore any of the commandments or teach others to do so, but follow the commandments and teach others to do so.

Do not judge others, and surpass the behaviours of the Pharisees whose cups were clean on the outside but stained on the inside.

NEVER hold a grudge or any resentment against anyone. Failure to resolve puts your entry into Heaven at risk.

Do not look at anyone with lust, as this is a sin of adultery. Repent and turn from sin.

Throw away whatever causes you to sin.

Do not divorce. Love is key to a successful marriage.

Do not overtalk.  What you say could have consequences. NEVER spread gossip.

Forgive everyone for any wrongdoing. (Essential).

Love everyone, even those you may regard as your enemy. Pray for your enemy.

Do good deeds worthy of a righteous person, not just for your own family, as even evil people do this, but for others as well as for your own family.

Little sins can be worse than major sins if you never stop doing them. For example, putting people down instead of building them up, gossip, dishonesty, greed, omission – not doing something when we should, putting ourselves first, letting others do the work, not following the commandments, and not loving others.

Do more than others, and strive to be perfect.
