Luke chapter 18

Never give up on prayer and be thankful when prayer is answered. Ask yourself if you are praying for something worthy. Is it beneficially for God to provide what you ask for?
Always stay humble and never be proud of your position or status, especially if you see yourself better than others. Ask yourself, do you use your position to help others or just yourself?
We are children of God, and we must be like children when we receive God, as we know almost nothing next to God. Children have no fear, no worries and trust their parents with everything — we must do the same with God. Although as children we fear our parents when we know we have done wrong, it is healthy to respect and fear our parents. Again we must do the same with God (who has the power to send us to hell.)
Material items and money can lead us away from God. God must be our priority. Being wealthy and in abundance is not a sin, but if it rules us, we are not with God. God must be our treasure. Look at your heart and ask, 'What is your treasure?'

Although we must not be deceived by false prophets, God uses prophets so we can prepare and pray for people and events to come.
Don’t let others lead you away from God. Be strong and bold & praise God. Don’t hide God from others; let them see God is part of your life, and nothing will change that.
We must be prepared to give up everything for God, including your life. To give up your life for a friend is the best thing one can do.

Luke chapter 19

Seek Jesus and repent for our sins, and you will enter the kingdom of Heaven.
Use the gifts you have been given to glorify Jesus; no good being a first-class craftsman if you don’t build anything, a skilled accountant if you never produce accounts, or a project manager if you never manage any projects. Use the skills you have to produce fruit for God.
Jesus is a sovereign king; he was not voted into position. We must worship him as our King.
We must recognise the times we live in. So we are prepared.

As members of Jesus’ family, we represent God and so must behave holy and try to be like Jesus in every way. We need Jesus to help us achieve this daily.

Luke chapter 20

Never question Jesus’ authority.

Inheritance is given to those who deserve it. Ask yourself if you are worthy. Did you ever reject Jesus & his teaching?

Not only do we follow the law of the land, but we must follow Jesus’ teachings and laws.

In eternity we are all brothers & sisters as children of God.

Jesus will one day rule from Israel, as did King David in history.

To know what it is to love, is to know God as God is love. Being a humble servant is a must.

Luke chapter 16

We must look after what we have and be prepared for what is to come. Think more about eternity and not much about this world; know where you are at in your preparation.

What you are given, much will be expected to test what you can be trusted with.

Look after the position you have been given and do not take undue advantage.
Look after others and give generously, and this will protect your eternity.
No one can serve both good and evil; you need to decide which side you are on. You cannot be on the fence.
The laws of God’s kingdom will never change; for example, Jesus does not permit divorce.
Hades is a place of torment for those who go there after death if you do not behave as instructed. Help others! Do not ignore those in need, especially if you have abundance.

Luke chapter 17

You will sin, but do not cause others to sin. Remember, you must repent all sin and turn away from any compromising sin in your life. Keep a pure heart.

You must forgive anyone who sins against you, no matter how many times they fail.

Note, when you serve others and receive praise and thanks, remember this is what you must be doing as an unworthy servant. Stay humble at all times.

Very important when our prayers are answered, we show gratitude and thankfulness. We must not just accept it. Without being thankful, how can you expect any future prayers to be answered? The glory belongs to God.
Do not be deceived by those claiming to see the return of Jesus. It will happen in a blink of an eye, when not expected, as people continue with their daily routines. When it happens, look up, forget your earthly life, do not try to preserve it, and forget about all material things. Keep your lamp full. Be ready.
Do not try to preserve your earthly life; focus on preparing for eternity, even if not taken in the rapture. If not taken, you weren’t ready. Now is the time to fix this; all is not lost. Jesus still loves you; do what is now necessary to show you turn from all sin, purify your heart and sacrifice everything for Jesus. Those taken are now doing all they can to help you get through this, but you need to repent and help others through the tribulation.
