Luke chapter 6
Sabbath (7th day of rest) is a day for Jesus. We should work hard to be like Jesus, by doing good. (This is true rest.)
The twelve apostles were chosen, as they were ordinary people, like you and me.
Becareful if you live for the world and not for Jesus, as those who sufer for Jesus can rejoice, because their reward is great in Heaven.
Be generous, love everyone (including enemies), lend to everyone without expecting repayment, and treat others as you would expect others to be treated.
Do not judge or condemn anyone and forgive everyone.
Following the instructions given is as good as laying a solid foundation for eternity.
A mouth speaks what is in the heart, so make sure this is good fruit, not evil.
Always remember you have a plank in your own eye, don't pick at the spec of dust in your brothers eye.
How we treat each other will be how we are treated by God. (Repent our failings.)
We will fail, but we can change.
Luke chapter 7
No one is worthy, yet if we ask, Jesus will forgive everything.
The one who receives the most forgiveness is the most grateful.
Don't be afraid to ask for forgiveness for many sins, but we must praise and thank Jesus, especially when we know we do not deserve his grace.
We must have faith Jesus answers our prayers, especially for the forgiveness of sins.
Luke chapter 8
Have you heard the word of God? Do you retain it? Do you follow it? If you produce good crop you are the wheat and not the chaf.
God will reveal beforehand, to his people, what will happen so they can prepare, but we must be listening.
We are all brothers and sisters in Christ's family.
Jesus will always take care of his children as long as we trust him.
Even demons fear the abyss, the darkness at the pit of hell. We should also fear who has the power to send us there.
It is our job to tell others about Jesus and what he has done for all of us.
If we believe (with actual faith) we can be healed of anything. Authority was given to us to heal, when Jesus died for us. (Glory to God.)
When we have faith, we can bring the dead back. Trust in Jesuswith true faith, do not doubt. Do not be talked out of it. Continue to believe afterwards.
Luke chapter 9
Following Jesus means we can trust him. We don't need security as Jesus has our security covered.
Those who don't know Jesus will be amazed at what Jesus' followers will do.
We should all look up to Jesus in Heaven and praise him.
We must feed our spirit and not our flesh. Live for eternity, not for the world. Build up treasures in Heaven rather than the world.
It is important we truly listen to the teachings of Jesus.
Many mysteries will be understood as we approach the end of the age.
The greatest is the least amongst us. (Remember the last will be first.) Don't have pride.
We seem to be divided, yet many serve and worship Jesus. There is evil, but whoever is not against you is for for you. We must be united in our battles against evil, not against each other.
Treat others as you expect to be treated, even if they are not, for Jesus. (Love our enemies.)
When you are called to Heaven, you must accept immediately, no looking back. (Rapture.)
Luke chapter 10
Trust Jesus. Pray we are the wheat and not the chaf so when the harvest happens we are kept and not thrown into the fire.
Pray for others as well as yourself.
Listen to those who preach of God, but don't celebrate that you have authority over evil; celebrate that your name is in the Lamb's book of life.
Remember you are not better than anyone else. Listen to the children.
Love is the key to the door of eternal life.
Love God with everything you have and treat everyone as your neighbour and love them as yourself.
Remember what is important in life. Never prioritise tasks of the world over tasts for God or ddemand someone stops tasks of God to help you with tasks of the world.
